Medical Staff
The physician who admits you is responsible for directing your care while you are a patient in the hospital. Your physician, as the coordinator for your treatment program, should be consulted if you have questions about your illness.
Twenty-four hour nursing care is provided by a team of professional registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and nurse technicians. A nurse manager is responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care on each unit. The house supervisor is a Registered Nurse responsible for patient care activities after hours and on weekends. Please feel free to contact your nurse, the nurse manager or house supervisor if you have questions or concerns. Issues not satisfactorily resolved at the supervisory level should be referred to Hospital Administration at (573) 875-9200.
The hospital maintains a staff of full-time, registered dietitians to assist with your nutritional needs during your stay. If you have questions about your meals or diet, please call Food and Nutrition Services at (573) 875-9934.
Social workers are assigned to each patient care area and are trained to help patients and family members cope with financial, social and emotional problems that relate to illness or hospitalization. Staff works with patients and families to help deal with long-term illnesses and rehabilitation and are also involved in discharge planning.
