Art in Health Care
Art in Health Care is part of the University of Missouri Health Care and is committed to promoting the integration of the visual, literary and performing arts as an essential component of healthcare. A group of individuals here at UMHC had a vision to create a program that impacts their patients, staff and the community through incorporation of the arts into the healing process. This program is designed to provide patients with a multitude of programs and services that will encourage a positive environment for healing their bodies, minds and spirits.
Goals
The Art in Health Care program at University of Missouri Health Care is dedicated to promoting the incorporation of the arts as an integral component of health care by:
- Integrating the arts into the environment and delivery of care throughout the health care system.
- Providing a variety of program offerings through partnerships with internal and external resources.
- Supporting and encouraging research into the beneficial effects of the arts in health care.
